The European Commission fined French automaker PSA Peugeot Citroen 49.5 million euros Wednesday 05 October 2005 for violating competition EU competition regulations at its Dutch business. The commission, which polices competition issues in the European Union, said it was slapping the fine on the company for having blocked the exports of new cars from The Netherlands to other EU member states from 1997 to 2003.
