From revered bottlers, Gordon & MacPhail, this Caol Ila single malt is a part of their Connoisseurs Choice series. The Islay expression has been matured in a single refill American hogshead cask for almost four decades, before being decanted at an impressive cask strength of 53.3% abv. The single cask yeilded just 150 rare bottles. Tropical fruits intertwine with smoke on the nose, before cured meat flavours on the palate give way to pear, lime and mint leaves.
